Women of law

Law is a system of rules which a particular country or community recognizes as regulating the actions of its members and which it may enforce by the imposition of penalties. We can say that the law can be one of the most rewarding fields in which to work. In this field, there are as many opportunities for women as for men. A woman can also get the chance to help people and to show a positive impact on the community. Women of law also become independent, by this job they can gain material benefits. Law is a highly competitive field. All the lawyers have to face different challenges in their every new case. women in law must be intelligent and UpToDate with the current affairs.

In our society, we cannot find women in this field of law. This is may be due to the norms and customs which promoted in our society.   Law considers a male-dominated the field. This is the field that is still dominated by the male members of our society. But nowadays, in the law department, we found half of the students of women and many of these women go on to become associates at law firms. If we look at the “statistics in the report on women in the law” published by the American Bar Association, we get the idea that men are still largely in charge.

On the other hand, there is surely something holding back these women, from climbing up the career ladder. Women may not be allowed in this field because they consider weaker than men or may be due to some religious values. This may be due to the stereotypes, of our society that women should stay at home, they are bound to the four walls of the house.  If we keep these gender roles aside, then there are many talented lawyers who simply cannot find a way to get success. Women should not let it hold you back. Being a woman, this does not mean that you should leave your desires.

According to the law, every woman has the right to work, to fair wages, top education, work in the military, hold public office and have marital or parental rights. In some parts of the world, the rights entitled to women are supported by government or law whereas in other places they are completely ignored and unvalued. Jennifer Tejada’s said that “we may be gaining in presence. But I think we have a long to go in developing future leaders”.

A woman can build a career in law and a highly successful one at that. You shouldn’t need to make an excuse to give up. This field is not specifying for male, you can gain more success than male by the use of your intelligence and knowledge. The change towards equality and non-discrimination is encouraged. A woman in law has a chance to participate in this field and build a career. It is an immense opportunity, a woman should take advantage of, instead of the risk and obstacles ahead. Through intelligence a woman is equal to man, she can gain success and become an expert in the field of law if she has passion, knowledge, and confidence for her work.
